Last post I had only hijacked photos from other friends' Facebook pages to share, but Pae finally had time to upload last night (even after helping her flatmate move to their new apartment). This photo is perhaps the favorite of the lot, composition perhaps...but I love all of them, especially when Pae smiles. Many of these particular photos are taken during training. They've been doing "mock up" inside a "simulator", basically the cabin and galley of an airplane. Here's a picture at their training center of one of the simulators. This is where they have been doing service training lately. They're concentrating mostly on service now, and will soon move on to safety, ditching, emergency landing, etc. I'm not 100% sure if this a separate simulator, for water ditching and other safety training, but it's either another unit or the other side of the previous picture! I'm thinking it's a different place! An interesting thing I've noticed from going through many of Pae's fellow trainees' FB pages, you can see how they have their little groups that they feel comfortable with, hang out with, eat with, etc. There are upwards of 40 Thai girls in their batch (girls from Jordan and Spain are also training presently but in different batches). This makes for many different personalities, and as you know, sometimes people meet for the first time and are like best buddies, and other times you just rub each other the wrong way from the get go. Pae hasn't told me about any such experiences, but I'm sure it's true! Throw 40 women together for several weeks!!They all have different connections from back home whether it be from school, a former airline, or either they have become buddies during RJ training. Pae will soon be moving to an apartment that she, Ple and Wan found between 7th and 8th Circle (areas in Amman).Pae and Ple worked together at Orient Thai Airlines. Ple is in the foreground and Wan on the far right of this picture next to Pae. (I think, I haven't met Wan yet but I think this is her!) So if you hear these names in future posts, they are Pae's flatmates.Hopefully we'll be able to share Pae's new apartment and perhaps a little about her first few training flights in our next post. We'll see!
